Global Lubricant Suppliers in GCC and MENA

In South UAE, the global lubricant suppliers in GCC and MENA – have made inroads. In UAE, conventional oils remain dominant, accounting for around three-quarters of global lubricant supplier’s engine oil demand last year. Kline projects that the global two-wheeler population will grow from about 700 million units in 2019 to 800 million in 2024. Technolube noted that in developed countries such as the United Arab Emirates, the two-wheeler market is primarily focused on recreational usage by enthusiasts, who typically use them for motorsports, bike rallies, cruises and other recreational uses. Bikers in this segment associate global industrial engine oils with a certain lifestyle, and bike riding is a hobby for them. Even maintenance and servicing of their vehicle is kind of a hobby. Many of them engage themselves in doing oil changes by themselves. Such enthusiasts are very particular about maintenance, and like to follow original equipment manufacturer recommendations. They c...

Range of Engine Oil & Lubricants for Cars UAE

Range of Engine Oil & Lubricants for Cars UAE business segment including oil collection and redefining activities and sales of recycled fuel oil reported revenues of $24.7 million for the quarter ending Sept. 5, down 31% from $35.8 million in 2019’s third quarter. During the third quarter, the COVID-19 pandemic continued to drive decreased demand for finished lubricant engine oils UAE, directly impacting both the demand and price for our lubricant oil products, the Elgin, Illinois-based company said in its earnings news release. The company noted that the segment’s revenue increased $5 million, or 25%, from the second quarter to the third quarter as economic activity improved from pandemic lows. In addition, technolube production volume at its refinery in Indianapolis in the third quarter increased 76% from the second quarter, in line with the third quarter of 2019. As demand for our lubricant oil and the supply of used oil improved incrementally during the third quar...

ISO Certified Lubricant Oils Plant in UAE

ISO Certified lubricant oils plant in UAE is the best method of determining how long your car engine oil can last. It involves taking and submitting an oil sample to a laboratory, where technicians analyze its condition for the presence of wear metals, coolant, fuel and other contaminants. Oil analysis is the most efficient way to determine exactly how long your oil will last and when it needs changing. Remember the 3,000-mile oil change. Some quick lubes and shade-tree mechanics may still promote the practice as “cheap insurance” against engine wear. Wanting the best for your diesel engine oil is a noble idea but throwing out perfectly good motor oil benefits no one (accept the company selling you the new oil). The 3,000-mile oil-change interval was adopted and amplified in the 1970s by quick lubes (many of which were owned by oil companies). While they may have had their customers’ best interests in mind, it didn’t hurt that the practice also ensured repeat business. Just...

Range of Engine Oil & Lubricants for Motorcycle UAE

Range of Engine Oil & Lubricants for Motorcycle UAE are preferred for many space applications, solid lubricants oils, process fluids and other types of lubricants have their place in space as well. For example, Technolube explained in his presentation that fluorocarbon oils are compatible with the vacuum environment in space and perform well at low temperatures, while solid lubricants such as polytetrafluoroethylene create good soft films. Molybdenum disulfide is also a viable solid lubricant option, as it is vacuum-compatible. Thin metal films of silver, gold or platinum can work as solid lubricants in space applications, too. Solid lubricants have limited lifespans, though, and often cannot be replenished, while process fluids require a closed system to operate properly and are usually poor lubricants. Similarly, oils are difficult to apply in space, evaporate in a vacuum environment and often become too thick or freeze completely. So, you can visit the technolube for...

WHAT HAPPENS IF I USE THE WRONG WEIGHT (VISCOSITY) OF OIL?

People often wonder if it’s safe to use thicker oil or thinner oil than what their engine manufacturer recommends. A common question is whether it’s safe to use 10W-30 instead of 5W-30 oil, for example. While it’s best to use what’s recommended in your owner’s manual, inadvertently using a viscosity one grade higher or lower than what’s recommended generally poses no long-term harm. Let’s look at two examples to illustrate. Brad buys a new car that requires 0W-20 motor oil. He hangs around enough gearheads to have heard the old axiom that “higher viscosity oil equals better wear protection.” Wanting the best protection possible for his new ride, he drains the 0W-20 that came from the factory and installs 15W-50 racing oil. Next we have John. He’s a cost-savings enthusiast, so he buys a 1998 Toyota Corolla. It calls for 5W-30 Technolube motor oil. But he has some 10W-30 in his garage, so he uses it to change the oil. No sense wasting good oil. Today’s advanced engines a...

7 TIPS TO BOOST FUEL MILEAGE

Global unrest and ongoing supply-chain issues mean we’re all pulling up to the filling station wondering how much gas is per gallon this week. That means we’re all looking for ways to boost fuel mileage and save on gas. To help maximize your fuel mileage, here’s a list of tactics to follow – and one to avoid. This list assumes you’re familiar with the standard fuel-mileage savers, like using cruise control, planning an efficient route and switching to TECHNOLUBE lubricants. 1) Properly Inflate Your Tires and Consider Wheel Choice Inflate your tires to the correct pressure found on the sidewall or the inside of the door. Low tire pressure increases rolling resistance and the amount of fuel needed to turn the wheels. In fact, Consumer Reports says a tire that’s down 10 psi can reduce fuel economy 1 mpg. A lighter wheel is a better wheel for fuel mileage. Lastly, if you reduce wheel weight but increase size, the net result may still be an increase in weight and reduction in fue...
